Hi Meadow Pointe players.

I'm sure you remember us introducing you to Dick aka"MO" Movsessian a while back. He has some great pickelball strategies and training information out on his website, and we thought you might find his newest one very helpful.

This is a picture of Mo's paddle. Not hard to tell he always keeps his eye on the ball.......Both sides of the paddle have that little circle in the middle............Amazing!

We have a great group of people who play with our Meadow Pointe Pickleball Club. Each month we will feature at least one of our players until you have met them all.............Hope you enjoy

Not only is Don one of our very first players, he is a regular and is our Pickleball Club photographer!

Don is one of the original Meadow Point Pickleball Players. Originally from Carmel, New York, Don and his wife Linda now reside in Meadow Pointe II. Don is the proud father of one son and one daughter, and grandfather to two energetic grandchildren. An Alumni of NOVA Southeastern University, Don previously worked as a Sr. Manager of Customer Support and Training, and is currently in Residential Real Estate Sales.

In addition to Pickleball, Don still enjoys Tennis, Golf and Scuba Diving, but the favorite pastime for him and his wife is spending time with their grandchildren.Friends, Rich and Donna Donald introduced Don to the game of Pickleball. He has attended pickleball events with the Kings Point Pickleball League in Sun City Center, with RV’ers at Peace River in Wauchula and Claremont and at the Torrey Oaks RV Resort in Bowling Green. On Sunday February 8th, the Lee County Senior Games took place at the Wa-Ka-Hatchee Rec Center in Ft. Myers. As you can see in the picture, the games were played indoors. There was a total of six courts. Games included Singles, Doubles and Mixed Doubles.
Following registration, the games began before 9:00 AM, and continuted until about 3 in the afternoon.
The MeadowPointe Picklers should be proud! Rich and his partner Al Goldberg took the Gold Medal in the Men's Doubles. He took the Gold with his mixed doubles partner Linda Kramer. He also played in the Men's Singles competition for the very first time and won the Silver Medal.

Boy do we wish that our MeadowPointe players could have been with us this past weekend. Richard (MO) Movsessian, a friend of ours from The Villages, visited us here in Tanglewood and gave two clinics to the Tanglewood Pickleball Club. We had 29 players (14 each day) attend.

When we got up on Friday morning, it was cold, windy and raining like you wouldn’t believe. The clinic was scheduled for 3:00 in the afternnon, and at 1:00 the skies were still cloudy and it continued to drizzle. But we got the squeegees and the blowers out and managed to get the courts dried. Believe it or not at 2:45 the sun even came out….

Here’s a picture of Rich and I enjoying the clinic with the group. This man is such a great teacher/coach. We have enough members in our club now that would really enjoy spending a few hours with a professional player…………Think about it, and I know we can get him to come visit our club and do the same clinic.

See you guys soon
Rich and Donna.
